Okay, so...here's the story with this post. Back when I was initially coming up with this idea, I thought to myself "Wouldn't it be the most amazing thing ever if the original Dude (Jeff Bridges a la The Big Lebowski) would be willing to participate in some way?"

To my amazement, Jeff's assistant's (Becky) email was listed on his website. And I thought, "Well, what have I got to lose?" I initially contacted Becky earlier this year (right around Oscars time) and at the time Jeff was out of the country...she was super nice and said she would absolutely do something with it. And then a few weeks went by and she emailed me again said it was on its way...and today it finally arrived!!

So from one Dude to another...here it is:

Jeff & Becky...you guys rock!! Thank you so much!!

Dad...I'll be buying a frame for this and bringing it up to you the next chance I get! :-)

The Unveiling

Welcome Mom & Dad...

This has been a little side project I have been working on...called The Dude Abides Project. :-)

Basically, I wanted a way to bring the outside world to Dad while he is cooped up in the hospital for the next few weeks. So I've tasked friends and family with taking photos of the Dude Abides tattoo logo at various places around where they live. We've had some pretty great submission so far, and more on the way!

Feel free to scroll down and see people who have contributed so far to the project (when you get to the bottom of the page, click "older posts.") I have more lined up in my inbox that I will be posting throughout the time you are up there!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed seeing these submissions from others! :-)

Okay everyone. I've been collecting a few of these here and there, but I'm about to kick this off on a full-scale basis starting this week.
