The Dude Abides...from The Dude himself (or El Duderino, if you're not into the whole brevity thing)

Okay, so...here's the story with this post. Back when I was initially coming up with this idea, I thought to myself "Wouldn't it be the most amazing thing ever if the original Dude (Jeff Bridges a la The Big Lebowski) would be willing to participate in some way?"

To my amazement, Jeff's assistant's (Becky) email was listed on his website. And I thought, "Well, what have I got to lose?" I initially contacted Becky earlier this year (right around Oscars time) and at the time Jeff was out of the country...she was super nice and said she would absolutely do something with it. And then a few weeks went by and she emailed me again said it was on its way...and today it finally arrived!!

So from one Dude to another...here it is:



Jeff & Becky...you guys rock!! Thank you so much!!

Dad...I'll be buying a frame for this and bringing it up to you the next chance I get! :-)

    This is beyond words awesome. I have deep love for Jeff Bridges, but this takes it to some other level.

    I have a deep love for Jeff Bridges, too, Holly! That guy is so amazing. Did you see the PBS special on him?? I'm pretty much convinced that he is even cooler than he seems!

    LOL Sara... I *DID* watch him on American Masters. A well deserved tribute to a guy whose career is still expanding. He so totally *IS* the Dude. In all the right ways. :D

    This truly is fantastic!! I've always loved Jeff Bridges as an actor...and I now love him as a human being. Jeff, if you're reading this, thank you so much for taking the time to personally send a get well message to my husband, Leo. You made his day by doing so! Wow!
